Files you process
Filefit processes selected images and PDFs locally inside your browser using JavaScript. The application does not intentionally upload your file contents to a Filefit server, create user accounts, or retain copies of processed files. Generated downloads are created locally.
External code and hosting
PDF functions load the open-source pdf-lib library from the Filefit website when needed. The code is hosted on the same domain; PDF contents remain in your browser. The hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages when deployed there) may process ordinary request metadata and security logs under its own policies.
Cookies and analytics
Filefit uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate page visits, referring websites, and real-user performance measurements such as loading speed. Cloudflare Web Analytics uses a browser performance beacon and does not use analytics cookies or local storage to identify visitors. According to Cloudflare, its Web Analytics service does not collect or use visitors' personal data. We do not use this analytics service to receive the contents of files you process. Filefit also offers optional Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-Y134R5WL5D) to help us understand page visits, traffic sources and how visitors use the site. Filefit checks a visitor's approximate country through a same-origin Cloudflare Pages Function (/api/analytics-region), using Cloudflare's existing country-level request metadata without transmitting the location to a new third party. As of November 2026, Google Analytics can start automatically for visits estimated to originate in India, unless a visitor previously opted out or their browser signals Global Privacy Control. For visitors detected elsewhere, when country is unknown, or when the lookup fails, Google Analytics waits for an affirmative Allow analytics choice. The country check is approximate and may be affected by VPNs or network routing. The opt-in approach remains available to everyone through the footer. If allowed, Google's analytics tag may set first-party analytics cookies and receive information such as page URLs, device/browser details and approximate location derived from network information. Your analytics choice and the time of that choice are saved in your browser's local storage. A previous opt-out is respected across regions; automatic regional eligibility is checked again on later visits. You can change your decision using the Analytics preferences control in the website footer. Selecting Not now prevents Google Analytics from loading on subsequent pages; changing from allow to decline reloads the page to stop the loaded Google tag. When GA4 is enabled, Filefit also sends basic feature-use events (tool started, completed, or encountered an error) identified only by the public tool name. Those events do not include filenames, original or generated file sizes, document contents, or exception messages. This tracking does not include selected image or PDF contents. Read Google's Privacy Policy for its data practices. Google AdSense has not been activated to serve ads. Infolinks has not approved Filefit, and its advertising script is not included in published pages.
Advertising status
Filefit is not currently serving Infolinks or Google AdSense advertisements. Infolinks did not approve this Cloudflare Pages subdomain, so Filefit does not load its advertising script. If advertising is introduced later, this policy and any applicable consent controls will be updated before activation.
Third-party product badge
The homepage displays an image badge served by Product Hunt. If the badge loads, your browser requests that image directly from Product Hunt, which may receive normal request information such as your IP address and browser details under its own privacy practices. Clicking the badge opens Product Hunt in a new tab. No selected file contents are included in this image request.
Storage
Files are held temporarily in browser memory while you use a tool. Clearing the page removes that temporary state. Downloaded files are saved to the location you choose on your device.
