Is Filefit really free?
Yes. The six tools are free to use without an account, subscription, or watermark.
Does Filefit upload my files to a server?
No. Files are processed locally by your browser. Some PDF functionality loads an open-source JavaScript library from a public CDN, but your file contents are not sent to the CDN.
Can I make a photo exactly 20 KB?
You can set a target of 20 KB or a custom limit. Image compression is best-effort: the result depends on the image's detail and format. We'll tell you the actual final size.
Why won't my password-protected PDF work?
Encrypted and some malformed PDFs may not be supported. Unlock the file in a trusted PDF editor first and ensure you have permission to modify it.
