✳ FILEFIT PRACTICAL GUIDE

Combine multiple photos into one PDF in the correct order

For a scanned assignment or set of application documents, the important part is not just creating a PDF—it's keeping the pages readable and correctly arranged.

Before converting: put your images in a useful sequence

Check that every photograph or scanned page is upright, legible and complete. If you photographed notes or forms, remove obviously incorrect shots and add the pages in the order someone should read them. Filefit takes JPG, PNG and WebP images.

Step-by-step: make one PDF from several JPG or PNG files

  1. Open Filefit's Images to PDF tool.
  2. Choose more than one image. You can add files in multiple rounds.
  3. Use the order controls in the selected-files list to move images into the right sequence. The first image becomes the first PDF page.
  4. Choose page sizing: A4 portrait for typical documents, landscape for wide content, US Letter where specifically requested, or original-fit when you do not want a fixed paper size.
  5. Set page margins if you need more white space around the content.
  6. Select Create PDF, download the result, then open the file and verify every page before submitting it.

Which PDF page size should you use?

ChoiceGood forWhat to check
A4 portraitDocuments, assignments and many printable formsSmall handwriting remains readable
LandscapeWide tables, diagrams or slidesNo text is too small after fitting
US LetterInstructions explicitly requesting Letter paperContent fits the page cleanly
Original fitImages with unusual dimensionsDifferent source images may produce different page sizes

How to avoid blank margins and unreadable text

A tall phone screenshot can appear small on a fixed-size paper page. Preview the result, especially around handwriting and text near the edges. Choosing a different paper orientation or reducing margins can help, but overly tight margins may cause printing problems. For documents that must be printed, leave enough room around the content.

Is this the same as merging PDF files?

No. Images to PDF converts image files into PDF pages. The separate Merge PDF tool combines documents that are already PDFs. If you have a PDF and a JPG, convert the JPG to PDF first, then merge the PDFs.

What Filefit does and doesn't do

Filefit builds the PDF in your browser without uploading the selected images to a Filefit server. This tool doesn't perform OCR, so the words inside photographs won't become selectable text. Large collections of high-resolution images can use substantial device memory. Password-protected PDF inputs are not supported by the PDF merge tool.

Frequent questions

Can I combine two or more images without signing up?

Yes. Use Filefit's Images to PDF tool in your browser. No account is needed.

Can I combine a PDF and an image in the same step?

Not directly in the Images to PDF tool. Convert the image into a PDF, then use the Merge PDF tool to combine the PDFs.

Will converting JPG to PDF improve a blurry photograph?

No. The PDF embeds the image; it won't restore detail missing from the original photo. Retake blurry scans before conversion.
